Students will explore different methods and media to produce their works of art: watercolor, tempera, oil pastels, Cray-Pas, colored pencils, watercolor crayons, markers, clay, Model Magic, crayons, batik, and more. They will also make their own textured papers and explore creative uses for available materials. And they will learn basic art principles: line, drawing, positive/negative space, composition, color etc.
Tuition is $60 per month for elementary, $70 for ages 13 and above, $100 for 1-on-1 instruction.
A $40 supply kit is also required and can be purchased separately below. The supply kit is a mesh bag containing all supplies required for the class. Supplies are replenished as needed.
The wearing of masks and 6′ social distancing is required of all students and teachers. Masks are not provided; each student must bring his or her own. To minimize the chance of indirect exposure to the virus, each student will have their own set of art supplies, as described above. Supply kits will remain in the classroom for the duration of the class. No additional supplies can be brought to class from home. Scissors, pencil sharpeners and other tools used in the class will be washed at the end of class each week. All current CDC guidelines will be observed.
